Recently, we have had some students that have found our youth group in large part because of what is happening online on our website. Students are checking out their MePages in spare moments at school. Their friends are asking about it, and coming to our midweek service. There they get a login to our site and their own page on our social network.

One of the Junior high girls has come through a situation like this. When she came the first time she was really pretty far from God. She comes from a broken family, hasn't really known God as much more than a cuss word, and is pretty broken herself. But she really found it exciting to do things on her MePage, and has been really active on the website.

On a Tuesday, a few weeks ago, she sent me a message through the webpage. "Hey, I am having a really difficult time. Could you please pray for me, or something?"

I replied, "Yes, I would love to. Dear Jesus I ask you to help...."

"I didn't know you could do that online," She replied about my prayer.

    "God is online," I said.

She came the next evening to our midweek service. Afterwards, she shared with my wife and I about how she has been dealing with a lot of really difficult things. She has been into drugs, cutting herself, and eating disorders. We prayed with her, counseled her about what she was going through, and got her on the road to the help she needs. God is reaching his children online, and they are responding.

A friend of mine at Voice of the Martyrs recently shared this story with us. An Eritrean named Bernie was in, of all places Saudi Arabia. The only way a foreigner can own a business to become partners with a Saudi. He was able to build a business as a gas station. Howevber in Saudi Arabia, this is more of an oasis with all of the services provided, it is more like a resting place. Bernie had set up four computers with internet access. He decided to set the home page to the Jesus Film.

A Saudi came in one day to use the internet and paused because the home page had the Jesus Film queued up. Usually, Saudi's would dismiss Jesus as a historical figure, but this man stayed for an hour and a half and watched the entire video feed.

He approached Bernie and said, "God told me Jesus was real." And Bernie led him to the Lord!

Apparently the highest honor for a Saudi is to get their feet kissed. The man bent down and kissed Bernie's feet and thanked him for bringing him Jesus.
